Privacy Policy — Kimp

Kimp (“the App”) helps you discover artworks and remember what you learned using review features. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App uses, what is stored on your device, what is sent over the network, and your choices and rights.

Widget data (App Group shared container)

If you enable the widget, the App writes a small “today artwork snapshot” (for example title/artist/movement and an image reference) into an App Group shared container so the widget can render it.

4) Data sent over the network

Kimp uses HTTPS network requests for: (1) fetching the daily artwork content, and (2) sending usage analytics.

Kimp sends a daily summary record to our backend that contains usage totals and a random identifier generated in the App (anon_id, a UUID).

5.1 Hosting and backend

Kimp uses Supabase to host the API and storage used to deliver artwork content and receive analytics records. Our Supabase project is hosted in EU-West.

5.2 Apple

If you subscribe to Kimp+, Apple processes payments. The App checks subscription entitlements via StoreKit.

6) Subscriptions (Kimp+)

Kimp+ is an auto-renewable subscription handled by Apple.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Subscription options offered may include: Monthly, 3-Month, and Yearly.

7) Cookies and tracking

Kimp does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA). Kimp does not use cross-app tracking.

On-device learning data persists until you reset or uninstall the App.

Analytics records may be retained for operational and product improvement purposes.

We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method is 100% secure.

Depending on where you live (including the EU), you may have rights such as access, deletion, correction, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact support@kimp.app.

If you want us to stop associating new analytics records with your current anon_id, contact support@kimp.app. Note: we may need information from you to locate the relevant record, and we may not be able to identify it without cooperation from you (because we do not collect names/emails in analytics).

Our infrastructure may process data in the EU/EEA (EU-West) and may involve standard internet routing.

Kimp is a general-audience educational app and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via support messages, contact support@kimp.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and make the updated policy available in-app and/or on our website.
